The easiest way to lie is to believe the lie you’re telling. It is much easier for people to confuse truth and belief than if you distance yourself from the lie.
The shimmering edges melt in the heat
Like waves of liquid crystal
Mirroring the splendor of your glimmering thoughts
Waiting just on the edges of my shaded vision
Ever out of reach.
My marble hands grasping, empty
Stretched out to you.
Their crushing weight making your concepts
Impossible to grasp.
